Awesome Give Away #1

IT'S NOT A BOOK OR ANYTHING BOOKISH ---

But it sure makes reading your favorite book a lot more fun.

What would be 'good' enough to be given away in this Month Of Giveaway Awesomeness?

How about a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory box of chocolates?
Bookmom Musing is giving away a yummilicious Carmel Apple from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. But since I love love LOVE chocolate, (and don't really like apples) what could be better than to giveaway chocolate from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory?
One lucky commenter will win one of these small boxes of assorted chocolates this week!
Get your single layer of nutty clusters, melt-in-mouth butter creams and meltaways, all in milk and dark chocolate and white confection. Kosher (OU)

According to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory website, the box of chocolates is deliverable, so you won't have to hunt down a store.

A plus when trying to win this decadent giveaway. All you have to do is comment.

For those of you who *must* have the Carmel Apple instead you can pop over to Bookmom Musings and comment there.

Happy commenting to fight for that box of chocolates!!

Or that .... apple.

The *Telling* use of words

THE WORDS WE USE

Why do we choose the words we use? As a writer I wonder about these things.

For example, take the description of Chocolate.

How is chocolate described most of the time on TV cooking shows?

DECADENT

What do they mean? Chocolate is extremely desirable, a taste treat one can spent the evening enjoying.

But what does decadent really mean?

Corrupt, immoral, degenerate, debased, debauched, self-indulgent, characterized by decadence, esp. culturally or morally: a decadent life of excessive money and no sense of responsibility.

I don't know about you, I don't think of chocolate that way.
How about saying chocolate is luxuriant? It means somewhat the same thing only with more positive context: rich, silky, abundant in glorious taste.

There are other words I wonder about.

Sinful, as in pleasures
Bad
Wicked
Guilty

How about:
Rich
Luscious
Succulent
Delectable
Enchanting
Delicious

What do you think?
