I was watching the news with hubby & kidlets getting ready for the day (including preschool). And I believe I'm the one that called you and said, "Turn on the TV! Now!"
I was teaching a class full of middle school children and couldn't see or read about it until I got home because the private school had put a blackout on incoming news so as not to frighten the students and allow their parents to present it how they saw best. I received word of it in a phone call from my husband. The not knowing made it worse.
I suppose I should answer my own question. I was in my mother's TV room watching the news and talking to a very upset little boy on the phone, assuring him I was all right. He wasn't very old.
